Northern Nevada Section of the SME Mission Statement
Award scholarships to UNR students with a declared major in the Mackay School of Mines including geography, geology, geological engineering, geophysics, hydrology, mining engineering and their various specializations.
Conduct regular section meetings to disseminate timely industry knowledge and allow members to interact.
Encourage membership for all professionals in the mining and minerals community and especially for students.
