THE NEVADA WAAIME SOCIETY
The Woman's Auxiliary to the AIME

The Woman's Auxiliary to the AIME (WAAIME) since 1917 has volunteered service in
the interest of the mineral professions. Today it focuses on education and on securing and maintaining scholarship funds for assisting young people in obtaining a degree in Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineering or allied fields.

Its "Education for Tomorrow" program works to attract young students to careers in the mineral industry and peripherally, to educate the public about the industry's contributions to society

Mackay School of Mines Students majoring in Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Geology or other minerals-related disciplines may be qualified to apply for a WAAIME Scholarship-loan to assist them with college expenses.
